The Vibe

Live drums with all the movement, imperfections and feel that come from a real drummer. From dry, intimate grooves to processed loops, cymbals and one-shots, these are the kind of drums we feel are so useful and we use them daily in our productions.

The Story

We both always search endlessly for new sounds, and what we love is clean, properly recorded and unprocessed sounds.

So instead of searching for it, we decided to record it.

We  invited a drummer, on of our homies Rik, set up a bunch of microphones and spent the day experimenting. Different cymbals, different playing styles, different mic positions. Whenever something sounded good, we kept recording.

Some loops sounded great completely dry. Others came alive after a bit of processing. That’s why every drum loop comes in both versions.

By the end of the session we kept our favorites, organized everything, and turned it into the drum folder we wished we had all earlier.

They'll always feel natural in any production.
That's why we keep getting back to them ourselves.
